I fell in love with brand design
I see creativity as a lifestyle, I live and breathe it! Since I could hold a paintbrush I’ve always been working on some sort of creative project, whether it was painting, photography, writing, or music, so it’s no surprise I ended up choosing a creative career.
I can pinpoint the moment I fell in love with brand design. It was back in 2019 when the company I worked for went through a rebrand. My boss took the whole team on the journey and I remember her taking us through the presentation of the new brand, showing the rationale behind the design decisions. I was hooked and became the biggest fan of the new branding.
Fast forward to 2020 when I was made redundant while I was on maternity leave with my daughter. I decided to learn all I could about brand design with the dream of starting my own studio. I have a fine arts background, so it wasn’t completely starting again, but I hadn’t used Adobe since 2010, so there was still a slight learning curve.
Over the last five years, I’ve been building Mauka Creative, honing some pretty epic design skills and filling my brain with nerdy branding knowledge. I’m more than prepared to guide you on your brandventure and help you reach the summit.

Over the last 5 years I’ve mastered a specific skillset so I can offer the full package! Strategy, branding, web design and graphic design are my core services.
One thing I know to be true is that consistency equals trust. Having one person to work with ensures the vision for your brand is consistently put out to the world across all touchpoints. As our relationship and partnership strengthens, so does the authenticity and relatability of your brand. It’s a win-win. We really are the dream team aren’t we?
My dream clients aren’t afraid to get a little (okay a lot) creative with their brand. They want the personality of their business to shine and aren’t afraid of a deep dive into their business strategy. I don’t play favourites, but if families and kids are your target market, I can promise I’ll knock it out of the park.
My process is highly collaborative, strategic, and most importantly, fun. By the end, you don’t just have a brand that shines, you also have a new business bestie who will cheer you on, comment on all your posts, and share your name in rooms of opportunity. Girls girl energy included.
